Non-peripherally tetrasubstituted phthalocyanines: Synthesis, characterization and, photophysical investigation

Novel non-peripherally tetrasubstituted metal-free and metallophthalocyanines (Zn, In) bearing morpholinoethoxy groups were prepared. The aggregative properties of the compounds were investigated in different concentrations. General trends for fluorescence quantum yields and lifetimes of metal-free and metallophthalocyanines were also described in tetrahydrofuran (THF). The fluorescence of these compounds is effectively quenched by 1,4-benzoquinone in THF.100
