Synthesis, structure characterization, and anticancer activity of a novel oxygen-bridged tricyclic Biginelli adduct

A novel cyclic oxygen-bridged adduct, ethyl 2-methyl-4-thioxo-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-2H-2,6-methanobenzo[g][1,3,5]oxadiazocine-11-carboxylate adduct has been synthesized and characterized. Its anticancer activity was investigated using MCF-7 human breast cell line and the results revealed a moderate activity with 223.55 μg/ml IC50 value.157
