Establishing the occurrence of major and minor glucosinolates in Brassicaceae by LC-ESI-hybrid linear ion-trap and Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry

► LC-ESI-FTICR MS was used to identify glucosinolates in extracts of some Brassicaceae. ► Along with the most common GLSs the occurrence of minor compounds is demonstrated. ► These minor GLSs are closely related with side chain having C4, C5 and C6. ► Their formation in Brassicacea species is suggested. ► A tentative identification by tandem MS of minor GLSs is given.
