Chlorinated and diepoxy withanolides from Withania somnifera and their cytotoxic effects against human lung cancer cell line

Phytochemical studies on the aerial parts of Withania somnifera led to the isolation of three withanolides 1-3 during the present study. All three compounds exhibited growth inhibition and cytotoxic activity against human lung cancer cell line (NCI-H460).
