Plant communications mediated by herbivore-induced plant volatiles. Volatiles emitted from herbivore-infested leaves mediate intra-plant and inter-plant communications for defense, priming, or allelopathic responses in uninfested leaves of the individual plants and neighboring plants, respectively.
