Role of Tyr residues on the protein surface of cationic cell-wall-peroxidase (CWPO-C) from poplar: Potential oxidation sites for oxidative polymerization of lignin

Tyr residues located on the protein surface of CWPO-C were considered to be important for oxidation of a wide range of substrates including sinapyl alcohol and polymeric lignin. The Tyr is considered to be an unique oxidation site found in the plant peroxidase family.
