Monophyllidin, a new alkaloid L-proline derivative from Zanthoxylum monophyllum

A new L-proline derivative, (−)-monophyllidin (1), together with four known compounds, was isolated from the bark of Zanthoxylum monophyllum. Their antifungal and antibacterial activities were evaluated.
