Allelopathic potential of alkylphenols from Dactylis glomerata subsp. hispanica (Roth) Nyman

► This study reports on the identification of eleven alkylphenols from Dactylis glomerata subsp. hispanica. ► Structure elucidation of the new and known compounds were made based on 1D- and 2D-NMR and GC-MS analyses. ► The allelopathic effects of representative metabolites on coexisting species has been tested. ► This is the first report on the phytochemical investigation of this species.
