A novel BINOL-based cyclophane via click chemistry: synthesis and its applications for sensing silver ions

A novel BINOL-based cyclophane incorporating two triazole moieties was synthesized and characterized via click chemistry. It was shown that this compound can be used as specific fluorescent sensor for Ag+ over a wide range of competing cations.
