Environmental remediation and superhydrophilicity of ultrafine antibacterial tungsten oxide-based nanofibers under visible light source

► Deposition of nanosilver onto electrospun WO3 nanofibers' surface was done exploiting visible or UV light driven photoreduction of silver ion. ► Nanofibers showed antibacterial characteristics. ► Nanofibers degraded a model toxin effectively. ► Nanofibers showed superhydrophilicity under a visible light source.
