High reactivity of nitric oxide with peroxo groups on BaO particles. DFT calculations

► NO reacts very easily with surface peroxo groups present on Ba6O6 particles to form NO2. ► The NO molecule can react either with Os or, with Oa to form NO2. ► When the surface oxygen atom of the peroxo group is extracted, an interchange is produced between both oxygen atoms.
