► We review applications of synchrotron X-PEEM to biomaterials. ► We report characterization of a PS/PMMA-b-PAA blend surface by AFM and X-PEEM. ► We report quantitative mapping of protein (HSA) and peptide adsorption on PS/PMMA-b-PAA. ► We report how this adsorption changes with pH.
