Re-dispersible CaWO4:Tb3+ nanoparticles: Synthesis, characterization and photoluminescence studies

► Highly luminescent Tb3+ doped CaWO4 nanoparticles were prepared in ethylene glycol medium. ► The nanoparticles have been synthesized at a relatively very low temperature. ► The optimum concentration of Tb3+ for the highest luminescence was found to be 10 at%. ► The prepared nanoparticles could be dispersed in polar solvents.
