Synthesis and white light emission of Dy3+ ions doped hexagonal structure YAlO3 nanocrystalline

► Dy3+ ions occupy the inversion center sites in hexagonal YAlO3 nanocrystalline. ► Shows more yellow intensity forced electric dipole transition. ► Yellow mixed with the blue emission can output the excellent white light. ► Has potential applications in UV excitation white LEDs, lighting and displays.
