Synthesis and photoluminescence of LiCaBO3: M (M: Pb2+ and Bi3+) phosphor

► We have synthesized two novel inorganic borate phosphors (LiCaBO3: Pb2+ and LiCaBO3: Bi3+) for the first time. ► The phase of LiCaBO3 were determined using the powder XRD and FTIR. ► The photoluminescent properties of these phosphors were investigated using spectrofluorometer at room temperature. ► These phosphors emit in UV region. ► Consequently, they are promising phosphors for UV lamp phosphors.
