Influence of crystal field potential on the spectroscopic parameters of SiO2·B2O3·PbO glass doped with Nd2O3

► Glass and glass-ceramics were formed as a function of heat treatment. ► Heat treatment induced structural rearrangement that depends on Nd2O3 concentration. ► Structural rearrangement of the glasses was detected by Raman and AFM measurements. ► Judd Ofelt theory show changes in the stimulated emission cross section and rigidity of the samples.
