Modification of a statistical mechanically-based equation of state: Application to ionic liquids

► We determine densities of ionic liquids using the modified Tao-Mason EOS. ► The modifications on the TM EOS furnish better accuracy for the calculated densities. ► The present work clearly indicates that the modified TM EOS is superior to the original one.
