Role of various additives on the clouding phenomenon observed in imipramine hydrochloride solutions

► CP is the temperature at which a clear micellar solution becomes cloudy. ► Formulations at temperatures higher than CP may result in solution instability. ► Clouding behavior of IMP solution in presence of additives is studied. ► The additives used are salts, amino acids, sugars, ureas and aliphatic alcohols.
