Micellar-mediated binding interaction between perylene and dl-phenylalanine: Insights from spectroscopic investigations

► Binding of DL-PA with perylene in micellar media was investigated. ► FT-IR data proves changes in conformation of DL-PA with perylene. ► Effect of foreign ion substance and SDS was studied by proposed quenching method. ► Proposed quenching method is simple, selective and rapid. ► Study gives huge information about environment effect on amino acid structure.
