Effect of dimethylsulfoxide and diethylsulfoxide on micellization and viscometric properties of cetylpyridinium bromide aqueous solutions

► The effect of DMSO and DESO on the properties of CPBr in aqueous solution was studied. ► We have observed that the micellization process is less favorable in the cosolvent-water mixture. ► In mixtures with DESO the micellization is enthalpy driven. ► The viscometric data have been ascribed to the structure-breaking ability of sulfoxides.
