Acid-base and UV properties of some aminophenol ligands and their complexing ability towards Zn2+ in aqueous solution

► The UV-VIS and the acid-base behaviour of three aminophenol ligands was studied. ► The stability constants for Zn2+ complexes were determined with different techniques. ► The comparison between the results show an adequate agreement. ► Suggested values were calculated at I = 0, 0.1 mol L-1 and t = 25 °C.
