Spectroscopic networks

► High-resolution molecular spectra are interpreted based on network (graph) theory. ► In spectroscopic networks (SNs) energy levels are the nodes and transitions are the links. ► Both experimental and first-principles SNs appear to be scale free. ► SNs contain hubs, are robust, are “small worlds”, and have attack/error tolerance. ► SNs allow the design of new measurements to improve spectroscopic databases.
