On the geometric structure, puckering potential and electronic transitions of monosilacyclobutanes and disilacyclobutanes - A theoretical study

► The ring puckering potential barrier heights are much smaller in disilacyclobutanes. ► The exocyclic methyl substitution on Si atom(s) reduces the puckering angle. ► The electronic excitation energies for 6 silacyclobutane molecules have been studied.
