Atlas BI-RADS ACR IRM 2013 : quels changements ?

The 5th edition of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging-Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) Atlas was published at the end of 2013 in the USA. It contains changes affecting the descriptors of the morphological features of MRI images. Some items were difficult to use and were removed. Other items were added in an attempt to standardize the vocabulary for mammography, ultrasound and MRI. A classification was introduced for the density of fibroglandular tissue. The report incorporates an assessment category for each lesion fully categorized and, separately, a description of patient management recommendations, as appropriate.
