Poly(A)-binding protein interacts with the nucleocapsid protein of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus and participates in viral replication

► The interaction of poly(A)-binding protein with the N protein of PRRSV was found in porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs). ► The interactive domains between the poly(A)-binding protein and N protein were mapped. ► The levels of poly(A)-binding protein expression could affect PRRSV replication in vitro.
