Subchronic toxicity study of the total flavonoids from Rosa laevigata Michx fruit in rats

► The subchronic toxicity of the total flavonoids (TFs) from Rosa laevigata Michx fruit was tested. ► The TFs was oral administered to rats at the doses of 500, 1000 and 2000 mg/kg/day. ► The doses of 1000 and 500 mg/kg/day for male and female rats were selected as the NOAEL. ► The study provides useful data for new drug exploration of the TFs from R. laevigata Michx fruit.
