Involvement of neuropathy target esterase in tri-ortho-cresyl phosphate-induced testicular spermatogenesis failure and growth inhibition of spermatogonial stem cells in mice

► TOCP could disrupt the seminiferous epithelium and decrease the sperm density in the mouse testis. ► NTE was shown to exist in spermatogonial stem cells and to be inhibited by TOCP. ► SCOTP inhibited NTE activity in spermatogonial stem cells. ► Both inhibition and knockdown of NTE activity inhibited cell proliferation.
