Isatin-3-N4-benzilthiosemicarbazone, a non-toxic thiosemicarbazone derivative, protects and reactivates rat and human cholinesterases inhibited by methamidophos in vitro and in silico

► Thiosemicarbazone (TSC) was investigated through a toxicological screening. ► TSC derivate (IBTC) has low toxicity and do not alters the antioxidant system. ► Molecular docking predicted the mechanism of IBTC interactions with ACHE. ► IBTC can protect AChE and BChE from MAP intoxication.
