Visual grading of motion induced image degradation in high resolution peripheral computed tomography: Impact of image quality on measures of bone density and micro-architecture

► Motion artifacts are common during HR-pQCT image acquisitions. ► We present moderate reproducibility of an image quality grading score. ► The prevalence of repeat acquisitions in our population is 22.7% of all exams. ► Beyond outputs, micro-architectural measurements are the most affected. ► We analyze potential impact of motion in cross-sectional/longitudinal studies.
