A tryptophan-substituted cholic acid: Expanding the family of labelled biomolecules

- Ellipsoidal micelles are formed in alkaline and acid solutions.
- A supramolecular gel is formed in acid solution by lowering temperature.
- Tryptophan experiences a polar environment irrespectively of the aggregate structure.
