Phase behavior of the surfactant ionic liquid trihexyltetradecylphosphonium bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)phosphinate with water and dodecane

- The surfactant ionic liquid [P6 6 6 14][(iOc)2PO2] has been characterized.
- Winsor type III phase diagram has been obtained with water and n-dodecane.
- Fish diagrams have been determined to analyze the effect of the temperature.
- Ionic liquid reduces the water/oil interfacial tension. NaCl improves reduction.
- Density and viscosity of equilibrium phases are also reported.
