On the stability of surfactant-free water-in-oil emulsions and synthesis of hollow SiO2 nanospheres

Stabilities of surfactant-free water-in-oil (w/o) emulsions were examined for five dispersion media with aqueous ammonia (pH 11) as the dispersed phase; hollow silica nanospheres occurring at the surfactant-free water/oil interface in these emulsions were synthesized using a soft template method.
