Usefulness of verbal selective reminding in distinguishing frontal lobe memory disorders in epilepsy

► We evaluated the memory performances of 68 frontal or temporal lobe epilepsy surgery patients to determine which measures best discriminated site of seizure onset. ► The verbal Selective Reminding Test outperformed all other memory measures. ► This is most likely due to its meta-memory component and sensitivity to other frontal lobe demands.
