Increased EID1 nuclear translocation impairs synaptic plasticity and memory function associated with pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease

► We found EID1 is translocated into the nuclei in neurons of AD brains. ► We developed a EID1 transgenic mouse model. ► EID1 overexpression and nuclear translocation reduced LTP and impaired memory. ► EID1 inhibits CBP/p300 acetyltrasferase activity and disrupts neuronal structure.
