High prevalence of large trematode eggs in schoolchildren in Cambodia

- In 47% of schoolchildren large trematode eggs were detected in stool.
- In the same area fascioliasis was highly prevalent in cattle.
- Large trematode eggs were most likely due to Echinstoma sp. infections.
