Dog population management for the control of human echinococcosis

Reducing the unwanted dog population is an essential part of echinococcosis control. Treating unowned dogs against echinococcosis, vaccinating them against rabies and fertility control are not always possible in many settings in developing countries. We recommend euthanasia.
