Detection of Toxoplasma gondii oocysts in different water resources by Loop Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP)

► Water samples had been investigated for the presence of Toxoplasma gondii. ► Different matrices of water from the Lower Rhine area, Germany were investigated. ► Toxoplasma gondii is able to enter and circulate in the aquatic environment. ► LAMP is helpful for tracing the source of contamination.
