Recombinant Leishmania (Leishmania) infantum Ecto-Nucleoside Triphosphate Diphosphohydrolase NTPDase-2 as a new antigen in canine visceral leishmaniasis diagnosis

► One new recombinant protein for the immune diagnosis of canine visceral leishmaniasis was produced. ► The ELISA results showed 100% sensibility and 99% specificity. ► ELISA assays using the protein allowed the detection of both subclinical and clinical forms of the disease.
