Looking for avian influenza in remote areas. A case study in Northern Vietnam

► A seroprevalence of 7.2% [1.45; 10.5] of avian influenza in a remote area characterized by low animal density, in Vietnam. ► A serological evidence of H5 and H9 spread within chicken population in Northern Vietnam. ► An increase of the risk of AI seropositivity with the village population size. ► A decrease of the risk of AI seropositivity with the distance to the national road.
