Identification of antigenic peptides derived from B-cell epitopes of nucleocapsid protein of mouse hepatitis virus for serological diagnosis

► We screened the antigenic sites in the MHV-N protein using a peptide array membrane. ► Sixteen antigenic linear sequences were found using antisera obtained from mice infected naturally with MHV. ► ELISA using MHV-N antigenic peptides showed the same specificity as commercial MHV ELISA for serological diagnosis of MHV infection.
