Evaluation of treatments efficiency against lichens growing on monumental stones by electrical conductivity

► We used the electrical conductivity method to assess crustose lichens vitality. ► Electrical conductivity measurement is a simple and sensitive method. ► Vitality of the whole lichen organism (phycobiont and mycobiont) was assessed. ► Crustose thalli with less entrapped stone grains are more suitable for this method.
