Vertical distribution in soil column and dissipation in soil of benzoylurea insecticides diflubenzuron, flufenoxuron and novaluron and effect on the bacterial community

► The three benzoylureas were dissipated in soils mainly by microorganisms. ► Flufenoxuron had the most severe impact on soil microorganisms. ► A large amount of benzoylureas adsorbed in the upper layer of soil columns. ► The use of flufenoxuron and novaluron influences soil bacterial communities.
