Biochemical study of retired pentachlorophenol workers with and without following dietary exposure to PCDD/Fs

► The relationship between serum PCDD/F levels and biochemical examinations were examined. ► Participants with occupational and dietary PCDD/Fs exposure had the highest serum PCDD/F levels. ► Distinct patterns of PCDD/F congener profiles were found among occupational and dietary exposure. ► The adverse health effects caused by past occupational PCDD/Fs exposure persisted for many years.
