Levels of organochlorine pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls in the critically endangered Iberian lynx and other sympatric carnivores in Spain

► The Iberian lynx had lower PCB levels than other carnivores. ► Reptile biomass in carnivore diets correlated positively with liver PCB levels. ► Organochlorine levels declined since the 80s in carnivores from southern Spain. ► PCB levels are still of concern in Eurasian otters from industrialized areas.
