Modelling city-scale facade leaching of biocide by rainfall

► A two-box model is able to describe accurately facade leaching laboratory experiments. ► The model is suitable for incorporation into detailed urban water flow and quality models. ► About 30% of applied biocides leached from facades annually. ► At the city scale, the model predictions are relatively insensitive to building height and paint age.
