The influence of an applied electric field during ceramic ultrafiltration of post-electrodeposition rinse wastewater

► Influence of electric field during ultrafiltration of CED wastewater was evaluated. ► Influence of electric field dependent on applied voltage and transmembrane pressure. ► Significant improvements in flux rates were identified at 60 V and 100 kPa. ► No improvements in permeate flux rates were obtained at TMPs of 200 and 300 kPa. ► Ceramic electro-ultrafiltration is a viable option in reclaiming CED wastewater.
