Transparent exopolymer particle removal in different drinking water production centers

► Drinking water raw water sources contained 699-1572 μg Xeq L−1 of TEP. ► Over 94% of raw water TEP was cTEP while this abundant fraction is usually neglected. ► Coagulation and sand filtration removed 67% of TEP, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis removed all detectable TEP. ► No TEP is detected in the final drinking waters.
