Rapid identification of sea cucumber species with multiplex-PCR

► Different regions at COI gene of sea cucumbers were employed for primers design. ► The multiplex-PCR was performed with four sets of species-specific primer. ► Amplicons with different length were obtained to each species individuals. ► They could be obviously differentiated from each other on DNA electrophoresis. ► This methodology can be very useful for traceability of the sea cucumber species.
