A novel dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method for the determination of eighteen biogenic amines in beer

► In situ derivatization DLLME-GC/MS method was developed for biogenic amine analysis. ► The method was validated for quantification of 18 biogenic amines in beers. ► The method provides good repeatability and high extraction recovery. ► Fourteen of the eighteen biogenic amines analyzed were found in most of the beers.
