Flow boiling of water in a minichannel: The effects of surface wettability on two-phase pressure drop

► Effects of surface wettability on two-phase pressure drop were investigated. ► Flow boiling experiments of water in a microchannel were performed. ►Significant increase of two-phase pressure drop with contact angle was observed. ► A new pressure-drop model is suggested taking into account the wetting effects.
